Morihei Ueshiba
Morihei Ueshiba, founder of the martial art Aikido, was born on 14 December 1883 in a somewhat privileged family in a village now called Tanabe. His father Yoruku was a respected farmer and was also involved in politics. His mother also came from a prominent family.
Toshiyuki Arai Shihan
Toshiyuki Arai, also known as Arai Shihan, was born on 11th of May, 1936 in Tokyo, Japan. He started Aikido when he first met the founder, Morihei Ueshiba, in 1957, when he was 21 years old. He studied in Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and celebrated his graduation in 1962.
Reza Samadi Sensei (a.k.a Seilan)
Reza Samadi Sensei was born in January 1970 in southern Tehran, Iran. He was interested in sports from very young age and did lots of outdoor and indoor football. After that he became familiar with wrestling and started practicing with Coach Rezayi and Coach Roozbeh in Tehran.
